Enhanced Ad Blocker Protection

An upcoming mode that pushes ad-blocker resistance further. In development — here's what it is and what to use today.

🚧 Coming soon. Enhanced Ad Blocker Protection is in active development and is not yet available. This page explains what it's for and what to use in the meantime.

What it will do

Today's first-party setup (your own domain) already recovers a large share of the data that browser-side tracking loses. Enhanced Ad Blocker Protection is an optional mode designed to push that resistance further against the most aggressive blockers, for sites where every percentage point of data matters.

What to use today

For the strongest available setup right now:

  1. Run on your own domain (Mode 2) for fully first-party requests and cookies.
  2. Keep your GTM containers clean and published, and verify with Preview & Debug.

This already gives you durable (~400-day) server-set cookies and first-party request paths — the foundation Enhanced builds on.

An honest note on ad blockers

Ad-block evasion is inherently best-effort — there is no setup, with any vendor, that blocks 100% of blockers 100% of the time. We'd rather tell you that plainly than overpromise. First-party server-side tracking meaningfully improves data completeness; Enhanced aims to improve it further, and we'll mark it available here once it meets our reliability bar.
